Where is Balamory?  Balamory is actually Tobermory, the 'Capital' of the Isle of Mull off the West coast of Scotland.  Wouldn't you like to go?  Not sure how to get here?  Click here for detailed travel directions from all over Britain and Ireland. Why not come on a 'Balamory' Tour?  We cannot guarantee that you will see any filming taking place - as this only happens occasionally, but you can still enjoy a complete day out for all the family.  Collection from Craignure - on the pier opposite the Tourist Information Centre - off the ferry from Oban.  You will then have a guided tour along the road to Tobermory - with stunning views across the Sound of Mull to Morvern and Ardnamurchan.

Mull Rail - Balamory Express
'Balamory Express'

When we arrive in Tobermory, you will then have a guided tour of the sites of 'Balamory'.  After this, you will have some time for yourselves to have some lunch and to browse the Main Street of Tobermory to purchase some 'Balamory' souvenirs, or - perhaps even visit the Tobermory Distillery for a dram!  You will then be driven back to Craignure - this time taking in the views of the mountains of Mull and the Western Highlands.
During the Summer months -
21st March 2008 until 18th October 2008 (Summer Timetable), you will then be taken to the Isle of Mull Railway, where you can travel on the 'Balamory Express'  to Torosay Castle.  You can then, either have some time at Torosay to view the Castle and its famous gardens or visit Duart Castle.  From 24th October 2004 until 24th March 2005 (Winter Timetable), you can visit Wings Over Mull - a Birds of Prey Centre, before being driven back to Craignure in time for the 5pm ferry.  Tours: Run throughout the week.  Pick up from Craignure off the either the (8.00am ferry at approx. 8.45am Friday & Saturday - Winter timetable only), (9.30am ferry at approx. 10.15am Saturdays - Summer timetable only) or the 10.00am ferry at approx. 10.45am and return to Craignure for the 5.00pm ferry to Oban.  Ferry Timetables and Prices
