Travel details – How to get to Oban.
The
following information details how best to get to Oban – the place where you take
the ferry to the Isle of Mull. Obviously it
is not possible for me to set starting points for all destinations in and around
the
British Isles and Ireland, but I have tried to pick main centres – towns,
airports and ferry ports. If you are still struggling to find a suitable route
to take – please consult a road atlas to direct you to the nearest point that I
have outlined for you – from your home!

Don't panic! It is not hard to find a car park within close walking distance of the ferry! Follow the arrows on the map below - driving into Oban from Connel, drive along George Street (the Sea Front) and when you reach the roundabout in Argyll Square - follow the signs for the ferry - along Albany Street. At the end of Albany Street, turn right into Shore Street and drive back towards the town centre. You will see a car park on your left hand side - just before the Bowling Alley. Park there and then walk along Shore Street - TOWARDS THE TOWN CENTRE and near the end of Shore Street (on your right hand side) you will see the Clarendon Hotel. Opposite the hotel is an alley way which you should walk down - and you will then be facing the sea. Turn left and walk along the sea front / pier - infront of McCaig's Warehouse (shopping complex) and continue until you get to the Caledonian MacBrayne ferry terminal. The walk from the car park to the ferry should only take approx. 5 minutes!
